You can see how each individual learning establishment ranks alongside its competitors, and if you study the results from other years you can judge the consistency. You can also see which universities are rising in the rankings and which are falling, which may influence your choices of where to apply. Online learning establishments can take more students as there is no physical space needed, but they still need to ration numbers because of tutor time.

One of the great advantages of online learning is that it can be scheduled to fit in with any other commitments you may have, including your existing career. This is likely to take a degree of pressure off you, as you will not be constantly worrying about your financial situation while you are studying. This means that the excessive length of the course, which is becoming a serious problem in the traditional learning establishments, is not likely to matter as much. It is not uncommon now for some humanities and social science courses to last twice as long as originally intended.

Be careful not to limit yourself to one or even a few choices, as there is still no guarantee of acceptance.
